Note: This interview was translated from Japanese

Art inspiration: Japanese manga, anime works and old great paintings.

Style: Mixing style with illustration and oil painting.

My experience studying law has led me to think about the inner struggles and ways of life of people in today's society. Through my works, I attempt to portray unseen spirituality of people today.

As a method, I am interested in expressing the themes and spirituality of literary works in my paintings, and reinterpreting the same subjects that ancient masters have depicted in their depictions of human beings in the modern age. For example, how can we express the universal themes of “love” and “death,” which are often depicted in literary works?

My work sheds light on the themes of love and life.

Favourite Artists: Old great painters, such as Rubens, Francois Boucher and Velazquez. Also, Pablo Picasso and Anri Matisse.

Favourite piece you have worked on: " Sealed Me on Your Heart" Series, which inspired from The Song of Songs.
